In January 2022, the Korean Food Culture Center, which was operated by the Korean Food Promotion Institution, was expanded and reorganized, and re-opened as “Korean Food Culture Space” in Jae-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Let's take a look at the Korean Food Promotion Institution’s Korean Food Culture Space, which will be the backbone of the Korean food platform after the expansion of its functions, and the integration of the Traditional Liquor Gallery and the Experiential Center for Grand Masters.

Get food information and enjoy many events at Ieum Hall and Hansik Library!
From the first basement to the first and second floors of the Korean Food Promotion Institution building, there is a well-organized space with the theme of “Hansik.” On the first basement are Ieum Hall and Hansik Library. Hansik Library is furnished with a variety of domestic and foreign materials on food that anyone can access and read. If you pass by this place and go inside, you will reach Ieum Hall, where cultural programs, such as various events, including lectures, and performances related to food, are held, adding to your enjoyment.
Ieum Café and Hansik and Traditional Liquor Gallery,
where a gallery also means rest
On the first floor, there is Ieum Café, which welcomes the visitors of the Korean Food Promotion Institution and, further inside, there is the Traditional Liquor Gallery, where people can hear about interesting stories on our traditional liquors. The Traditional Liquor Gallery is a space that displays and promotes the cultural value of traditional liquors, and provides various cultural contents through feature and rental exhibitions.

Hansik Baeumteo(Learning Center)
and Hansik Studio
On the second floor is a tastier space waiting for you. It is the Hansik Learning Center. Here, you can learn, make, and eat Korean dishes by using seasonal ingredients and traditional fermented food. Up to 24 people can experience Hansik at once, and easy English, Chinese, and Japanese classes are available to foreigners. The class menu and reservations are available at the reservation page of the Hansik Learning Center.
Hansik Studio is equipped with professional personnel and state-of-the-art video equipment so that people can experience Korean food anytime, anywhere without visiting Ieum. The studio has been creating and sharing various contents so that users can experience Hansik in a place near where they live.
